SIGNIFICANT

A FIMILIAR PLACE THAT IS SIGNIFICANT OR IMPORTANT TO ME.....

As i've always lived in Darwen i thought about the things i do and what places that i see or visit which are important to me.

darwen tower is were i decided to photograph as when i was a child we would regularly walk to the tower as a family and now that am an adult with my own family this is something that we also do together. i think family's important and spending quality time together is also other factors also influenced me, one of which was my grandad he recently passed away and the tower is where we scattered his ashes.

with this in mind i wanted to capture an image which was powerful and atmospheric.

i really like some of the images of the tower i took of the tower, i tried to achieve a sence of power and authority with them. the tower is darwens well known landmark and important to the town and also myself for some of the reasons i stated before. when editing i tried to create a feeling of nostalgia representing the memorys i have.

below is an image which i took back in october which i felt also represented what i was trying to achive in that it was a strong image of the tower and the sky.

all editing took place in lightroom.
