all of my images have been edited in lightroom and all of the camera settings are available along side each picture. when editing i decided i didn't want to stick to any particular theme or ridged structure i wanted to use a variey of editing which i saw appropriate for that particular picture.
the composition of all the images was dictated by the original archive images i chose this was because i wanted to try and recreate them as compositionaly close as possible. i think that when viewing the images together, then and now, they are 'arresting' in that you find yourself looking for the smallest of changes.
the book is my final outcome for this assignment and on reviewing it i have notice a few spelling and grammar mistakes, along with a spec of dust on one of the images which went un-noticed during editing. also some of the images when printed have turned out slightly darker than what they appeared on the computer. overall thought i am pleased with what I've produced and feel I've learnt quite a lot along the way.
URBAN 5
before i went out on the final photoshoot i narrowed the archival images down to 8 then i knew which images i needed to capture whilst out. below are the final 8.
i decided that when editing the pictures i would try to keep most of them colour but would also use other effects including desaturation and sepia if i thought a particular image looked better in that way.
URBAN 4
after editing these pictues i decided that i definatley wanted to do a then & now but not in the way of showing how things had changed but focusing on the things which had remaind the same whilst everything else around was changing.
URBAN 3
after this photoshoot i decided to duplicate each photo three times in lightroom and edit the colour settings which consisted of black and white, colour and slightly desaturated. i did this to help me decide on how to present them in the book i wanted to produce for my final outcome.
